Dear Bintan crew,

We could stay only 3 days at your wonderful, traditional wood houses. We enjoyed your country, the natural landscape, paradise island, the nice and spicy food, and your staff, who are very helpful, looks for every way they can fulfill, and are very kind. We feel very good and calm here. A very peaceful place. We will come back anytime anyway. Just build further in the nice traditional stay you are already doing. European people will like it a lot. Thanks a lot for all.

Until I discovered “Nostalgia Yasin” I had written off Bintan as an overpriced island with little to offer. I stayed in NW Resort “Nirwana Beach” and then “Ocean Beach” on the east coast. My wife and I decided to walk outside the depressing Ocean Beach complex and were but prevented by the staff.

A short walk south we found “Paradise” - a beautiful beach meticulously cleaned daily, rustic but attractive bungalows looking seaward, and very friendly helpful staff that made us very sad to leave after 3 days. The food is excellent and priced very reasonably compared to the nearby villages. We look forward to the next time and hope in future many people can enjoy this 'Corner of Heaven'.

Yasin was an oasis after a journey from Medan, though jungles, by broken roads, boats, avoiding local tourist predators in Tanjung Pinang and escaping from the broken down (antique) Bintan taxi as night drew in!! From the moment we arrived we were treated exceptionally by Eddie & his staff, and the stresses of the day were quickly forgotten about. Intending on staying for one night we eventually stayed four as we grew more accustomed to the atmosphere of the beach and our bungalow. Made use of the free transport to “Agro” to go snorkeling and fishing, both of which we enjoyed a lot. I know the tourist will find their way back to Indonesia soon, and Yasin will be one of the places they will find & love. We will do our best to spread the word of beautiful Indonesia.
Thank you for everything
.
